Thanks for a lovely and inspiring story! We gave a bunch of donations as gifts this year, but your idea clearly sparked memorable conversations and valuable thinking.
What a wonderful idea! We did a giving oriented theme in my family this year too - replacing our usual 'everyone draws a name and buys one gift' tradition with a new model where everyone selected a cause to donate to and then simply shared with the group what they had chosen and why.

What I love about this story though is that it clearly inspired even more conversation - by taking advantage of all the amazing causes at globalgiving.org.

Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!
